Friends of the Moor | Knutsford’s Greenflag Park

Welcome to the Moor

This is an open space for public recreation and has been since 1907 when Lord Egerton sold it to the then Urban District Council.

It’s 5.5 acres contains footpaths, a play area, picnic area, a rustic shelter, cycle parking, seating, trees and borders the privately owned Moor Pool with its various birdlife.

The Moor is a Green flag park since 2009 with a supportive Friends group since 2005. The Friends of the Moor exist to promote the use of the Moor and act as a link between the local community and current owners of the Moor, Cheshire East Council
